AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has stirred the pot by suggesting that Chief Minister M.K. Stalin deserves a “Nobel Prize” for making statements contrary to the truth. The remark comes as a part of an ongoing exchange of allegations and counter-allegations between the two prominent leaders.
Referring to Chief Minister Stalin’s nickname for him, ‘Poi (lies) Palaniswami,’ the AIADMK leader has vehemently countered these claims by asserting that it is the Chief Minister who is “well trained in telling lies.” Palaniswami further questions whether the Chief Minister can deny that many of the projects and schemes inaugurated after the DMK came to power were initiated during the previous AIADMK regime. He goes on to question whether it is justified to scrap the welfare schemes implemented by the previous AIADMK government and replace them with new ones.
