Presidency College has recently achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first government college in Tamil Nadu to be awarded the ISO 21001 certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). This achievement is a testament to the institution’s commitment to excellence and transparency in education.

The ISO 21001 certification, a globally recognized standard for educational institutions, was granted to Presidency College based on several key factors. These factors include transparency in the admission process, a well-structured syllabus, an optimal student-teacher ratio, and a rigorous evaluation process for answer sheets. This certification not only highlights the college’s dedication to maintaining high standards but also bolsters the credibility of data submitted for national ranking and accreditation processes, such as the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

Raman, the principal of Presidency College, expressed his satisfaction with this achievement. He emphasised that this ISO certification would greatly enhance the credibility of the college’s data and documents, making it an invaluable asset for the institution’s continued growth and recognition. The certification process involved a thorough audit conducted by BIS to verify the claims and documentation submitted by the college.
