Senior leaders and district secretaries of the State unit if the BJP began discussion on AIADMK’s decision to exit the NDA alliance in Chennai today.
The meeting is chaired by State BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Kesava Vinayagam.

Senior leaders Pon Radhakrishnan, H Raja, VP Duraisamy, KP Ramalingam, and Sasikala Pushpa are attending the meet.

Annamalai, TN BJP president, who developed health issues and was adviced rest by doctors is expected to join the meeting.

It may be recalled that All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief Edappadi K Palaniswami on Wednesday said that his party’s decision to leave the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance was driven solely by its workers’ feelings about the “happenings” in the state.

The AIADMK formally broke off its partnership with the BJP on September 25, ending a long-standing but increasingly frosty alliance. The two parties had formally tied up in the run-up to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
