After completing his 12th grade, he joined the 5 Mahar regiment of the Indian Army, serving in various locations including the Siachen Glacier, the deserts of north-western Rajasthan, and Sikkim. It was during his time in the army that Sable discovered his talent for running.
Sable’s athletic career began in earnest in 2015 when he participated in inter-army cross country running at the insistence of his colleagues. Despite being overweight at the time, Sable managed to lose 20 kg in three months before joining the national camp where he was trained by Nikolai Snesarev.
