Two contract labourers died due to suffocation while trying to clean a septic tank at a housing colony in Chennai’s Avadi area.
According to police, Devan,44, and Moses, 42, were instructed to clean a septic tank at the OCF Housing Colony.
The police said as the duo tried to get into the tank, they fainted within a few seconds.
Residents of the housing colony informed the fire and rescue services personnel, who reached the spot and retrieved Devan and Moses using safety equipmen
