State Transport Minister Sivasankari gas announced that electric buses will be operated at several places across the State in assistance with German Bank.

Speaking at an event in Perambalur, he said, ‘Rs 2500 cr has been allocated for free bus ride for women scheme. It will not lead to loss in transport corporation.’

We gave signed a deal to procure 500 electric buses for Tamilnadu. The scheme is implemented with assistance of German Bank. In the first phase, orders have been placed for 100 buses, he said
