The ruling DMK party would hold fast at all district headquarters in Tamilnadu on 20 August demanding the Centre to give NEET exemption to Tamilnadu.

According to a press release, the fast being organised by Youth wing, medical wing and students wing of the DMK would be led by State Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Much recently, Udhayanidhi urged students in the State to not take extreme steps owing to NEET examination distress and asked them to stay patient. Commenting on the TN Governor RN Ravi’s stand that he would never clear the Bill to exempt Tamil Nadu from the NEET, Udhayanidhi said that Ravi does not try to understand what parents and students go through owing to this exam.
