Chennai, Aug 7: India continued their unbeaten run in the Asian Champions Trophy with a 5-0 mauling of Malaysia on Sunday. The hosts also put the penalty corner conversion concern to rest as they scored four goals via PCs to go top of the table. Karthi Selvam opened the scoring in the 15th minute while Hardik Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Gurjant Singh and Jugraj Singh added to India’s tally in a lop-sided match. Three-time champions India defeated China 7-2 in the first match followed by a 1-1 draw against Japan in the next. Karthi Selvam wins the Young Player of the Match while Krishan Bahadur Pathak takes the Player of the match award.
