Indian Overseas Bank conducted the SHG Campaign at Chennai District as part of Women’s Day Celebrations. A press release said that Shubhendu Kumar Verma, general manager, Indian Overseas Bank, and N Srinivasan, Project Officer, TNULM Chennai participated as special guests for the campaign. Loans to the tune of Rs. 502.90 lakhs were sanctioned and disbursed to 84 Self Help Groups across Chennai District. Indian Overseas Bank, Women Entrepreneur Branch alone sanctioned a loan of Rs 153.00 lakhs to SHGs. The campaign was organised by Chennai-I Region, Chennai-II Region and Lead Bank.
