Akshay Kumar will do the bio-pic on for C Sankaran Nair, a lawyer and an activist. Ananya Panday has also been roped in for the film. The courtroom drama has been titled, ‘The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair’ and will be helmed by debutant director Karan Singh Tyagi.

Nair served as a member of the Viceroy’s Executive Council in 1915, but resigned after the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in 1919. The biopic is reportedly based on Raghu and Pushpa Palat’s book, ‘The Case That Shook the Empire’.
