Chennai: Tamilnadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian has said though the number of Covid-19 cases are reducing in Tamilnadu, people must continue to be careful to prevent fourth wave.
He pointed out the spread has still not been controlled in the neighbouring states of Kerala and Karnataka.
‘Also, the number of cases are increasing by the day in many countries including Singapore and Malaysia. Covid appropriate behaviour is mandatory for a couple more months,’ he added.
Subramanian also said pharmacies shouldn’t be taking blood tests. ‘Pharmacies can’t take blood test, those who are trained for it alone should do it. People should be doing their jobs alone. Will it not be unethical for technicians to prescribe medicines? It is the same with pharmacies running blood tests,’ he added.
He also directed the public to get inoculated. Those aged between 15-18 and senior citizens who are due for their second/booster dose can use the weekly mega vaccination camp and vaccine kiosks set up during weekdays, the Minister said.
