Chennai: Veteran producer Rama Narayanan’s son and Vijay-starrer ‘Mersal’s’ producer Murali Ramaswamy, who won the Tamil Film Producer’s Council (TFPC) elections, today took charge as president.

At a grand function held in Chennai, he along with his team took guard. Film personalities including theatre-owners and distributors attended the event.
Remember Murali Ramasamy defeated T Rajendhar in the elections held a few days ago.

Meanwhile in an interesting development, the team led by TR that lost elections has chosen to float a separate association. They named it Tamil Movie Makers Association and registered the same.

It means that the association is now split into three. Already a set of producers came out from parent body and started Tamil Film Active Producers Association led by Bharathiraja.
