Chennai: Chennai Trade Centre is set to host close to 1,500 Toastmasters, who are expected to attend Ovation, the largest international convention of Toastmasters for four days from 23 May.

A galaxy of keynote speakers including Puducheri Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi, monk and motivational strategist Gaur Gopal Das, Carnatic vocalist Aruna Sairam will participate.

Ovation 2019 will be a rare event to have two world champions of public speaking: Darren Lacroix (2001) and Mohammed Qahtani (2015). The stage will also witness four speech contests featuring 50 best speakers of District 82, a press release said.
