Chennai: S Sruuthi, a class 12 student of Padma Seshadri School, and resident of Bagirathiammal Street, produced a social play in Tamil- ‘Manitham Punitham’, that was screened in the city recently.
Speaking on this, Sruuthi said, “I am proud to say that I am probably the youngest drama producer till date. I have achieved this out of sheer passion for theatre, that I developed since my debut on stage from my age of three.”
“I have put in all the cash prizes that I won from cultural competitions or Sloka recitation contests and savings, into the production of this play,” she added.
Sruuthi has earlier been an actor, dancer and choreographer in a number of Tamil plays produced by Nataka Chemmal RS Manohar Nxgs, run by her father Shivvprasad, foster son of legendary dramatist RS Manohar.
