Chennai: The city police handed over the body of small-time actress Sandhya to her parents after two months but have failed to find her head.

The murder rocked the city when the body parts of the victim were found in different spots of the Perungudi dumpyard 21 January. Sources revealed that Sandhya was fighting a divorce case with her husband, Balakrishnan.

The 35-year-old native of Thoothukudi was murdered by Balakrishnan as he suspected her fidelity. During interrogation, Balakrishnan told the police that after murdering his wife, he cut her body into several pieces and dumped them in different parts of the city.

The police soon recovered the dismembered arms and legs at the Perungudi dumpyard.
