Milan: Bride-to-be Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s grand Italy wedding is being held 14 and 15 November. With this two-day affair, they are all set to tie the knot in a Konkani-south Indian style wedding today. The couple will go through Sindhi rituals tomorrow.

The wedding is being held at the Villa del Balbianello. Altogether 40 people, comprising family members and close friends of both sides, have been invited for the wedding ceremony. To prevent photos being leaked, guards have covered guests’ mobile cameras with stickers.

During the sangeet ceremony, Ranveer got down on his knees for Deepika and delivered an emotional speech to which the actress began to cry and soon after Ranveer hugged her. They got engaged in a Konkani traditional Phool Muddi ceremony yesterday.

In this ceremony, the bride and groom’s family meet and perform puja and then offer prayers. They also exchange coconuts and turmeric powder.

After the two-day wedding affair, Deepika and Ranveer will reportedly make their first public appearance at their Bengaluru reception which is Deepika’s hometown, 21 November. Later, the couple will hold a wedding reception in Mumbai 28 November.

According to reports, 12 florists flew down from Florence to fill the venue with Deepika’s favourite flower – lilies.

Even though photos and videos aren’t out from their engagement ceremony due to the three-level security, according to reports, Deepika and Ranveer coordinated in black and white for their intimate ring ceremony. While Deepika wore an off-white dress, Ranveer chose black. Later the couple proceeded to a sit-down dinner.
