Chennai: The price of subsidised LPG cylinder has been hiked for the second time this month. The 14.2 kg cylinder that cost Rs 493.87 till yesterday, will now cost Rs 2 more and sell at Rs 495.37 in Chennai.

According to reports, oil companies have raised agency commission by Rs 2 to Rs 50.58 from last night. This has led to the rise in the price of the subsidised LPG cylinder.

It has also led to the price of non-subsidised cylinder being jacked up. On 1 November, the market rate of the gas cylinder rose by Rs 60 to cost Rs 939. Now, the customer would have to shell out Rs 942.50 as cost for the same cylinder.
