Chennai: Karnataka’s P Yashovardhan and Aneeshwar’s unbeaten 77 run partnership for the seventh wicket helped Karnataka finish the final day at 180 for 6, eventually helping them draw against Tamilnadu in the Vijay Merchant Trophy for Under 16 South Zone, held at at NPR College Ground, Natham, Dindigul (Tamilnadu) from 21 to 23 October.

However, Tamilnadu gained three points from the contest based on a 110-run first innings lead.
