Chennai: A memorandum of understanding for training tertiary level students for Business English Certification was signed between Cambridge Assessment English (Part of the University of Cambridge) and B S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology at the institution premises recently.
A press release said Cambridge English would support with workshops in order to upgrade the knowledge of the teachers of the institution by training them in the use of latest pedagogies. In continuation
with the training, the institution would also explore opportunities of collaborating with Cambridge English to work on the projects of teachers professional development.
Cambridge Assessment English, South Asia – regional director T K Arunachalam, said, “We are happy to be associated with B S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology and look forward to a very fruitful partnership ahead. We laud their initiative to provide a platform to help students in developing their language and communication skills and gain international certification.”
B S Abdur Rahman Crescent Institute of Science and Technology, vice-president Sahol Hamid Bin Abu Bakar, registrar A Azad, deputy registrar Raja Hussain, School of Social Sciences and Humanities dean Ayub Khan Dawood, English department HOD Revathi Viswanathan, professor Shahin Sultana were also present during the event.
