Chennai: An FIR has been registered against Naam Tamilar Katchi chief coordinator S Seeman by Taramani police this morning.

According to the police, the FIR was filed after a complaint was lodged regarding a public meeting he had addressed in May.

On 18 May, the death anniversary of slain LTTE leader Prabhakaran, Seeman had taken part in a public meeting at Kottivakkam, OMR, during which he had said some statements supporting Prabhakaran.

Cases have been registered against him under IPC 153, 153 (A), 504, 505 (Part 1 and Part 2)
