India’s power consumption grows 3.8% in July

India’s power consumption grew marginally by 3.8 per cent year-on-year to 128.38 billion units (BU) in July amid widespread rains in the country, according to power ministry data.

Jio leads 5G spectrum auction with Rs 88,078 cr: Ashwini

Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Jio emerged the top bidder in India’s 5G spectrum auction, acquiring 24,740 MHz spectrum worth Rs 88,078 crore, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced on Monday. Sunil Mittal’s Bharti Airtel was the second-highest bidder with 19,867 MHz spectrum in various bands worth Rs 43,084 crore, in the auction that spanned for seven days with 40 rounds.

Zomato narrows losses to Rs 186 cr

Online food delivery platform Zomato on Monday reported Rs 185.7 crore in consolidated loss for the quarter ending June 30, compared to a loss of Rs 359.7 crore in the previous quarter. The consolidated revenue saw 67 per cent increase at Rs 1,413.9 crore from Rs 844.4 crore (same quarter last year), and 16.68 per cent up from Rs 1,211.8 crore in the last reported quarter.
