Chennai: A review meeting regarding the ongoing road projects in the State was held by Union Minister for Road and Transport Nitin Gadkari in Chennai. Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and senior Highway Department officials took part in the meeting.

Sources said the land acquisition process for the Chennai-Salem eight lane project was discussed during the meeting.

It is also said the utilisation of the funds from the Centre for the ongoing road works in the State was also discussed at the meeting which lasted for 45 minutes.
